The view from the office.

Tucker Piner joined me for a beet and arugula salad at Cafe Gitane in Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn.

Tucker is a former Bloomberg sales rep who has gone on to work in crypto and start a charity, Tucks Travels.

The need is simple: Only 43% of Americans have passports. Only 10% have been to two countries or more.

Tucks Travels aims to help change that, making foreign travel more accessible, especially for underprivileged kids.

Tucker notes that a passport costs $179, beyond the means of many. He currently works with four NYC high schools to identify kids aged 11-17 who don’t have passports and are interested.

Phase 2 will involve helping kids nominated by their schools to travel. Plans are in place for trips to Costa Rica and Spain.

Tucker hopes to raise $20k at a launch party on Aug 15.

DM him directly if you are interested in collaborating.
