The View from the Office.
Ebony Lewkovitz met me for coffee at Ole & Steen across from Bryant Park.
Ebony founded Eden Communications after working for years as a reporter. Her career started in her native Australia. She moved to New York to work for the Australian Broadcasting Corp. before joining the NY Post.
At the newspaper, she talked her way into a coveted role covering the White House and had the chance to interview Trump in the Oval Office a couple of times.
We talked about how the landscape of our industry is changing. How the media has gotten smaller and titles have moved behind paywalls, making them less impactful.
The growth of social media has encouraged CEOs, companies and brands to focus more on telling their own stories directly, which is transforming how communications agencies operate.
It’s also putting an emphasis on the ability of an agency to respond quickly, something that comes naturally given her background as a reporter.
If you are looking for a comms team with a new approach give her a call.
You can reach Ebony via Twitter or LinkedIn. Or DM me for a warm intro.
