Walmart’s news coverage has spiked because of a Tesla dispute and debate over gun sales, but that’s unusual.

Bloomberg has a nifty feature that lets you visualize fluctuations in news coverage overlaid by corporate events, in this case earnings.

As the chart shows, basically the only time reporters flock to write about $WMT is when it reports earnings. Then there is a sudden three- to four-fold increase.
