Citigroup was praised for its decision to select a woman as its next chief executive officer, a first for a major Wall Street bank.
Most media coverage pointed out that this was a long time coming and criticized the banks for failing to promote a woman earlier.
A review of the coverage, however, shows that the media didn’t focus much attention on Fraser either, even after a bump last October.
That was when she was appointed to the No. 2 job at the bank, putting her in line to succeed CEO Michale Corbat.
