Met Ruth Kresha for coffee and Tiramisu Mille Crêpes at Madame M’s. It’s a go-to-spot because of the cakes and ideal location at Bryant Park.

Known as Ruthie to her friends, she has an amazing personal and professional story. She grew up on a pistachio farm near Bakersfield, CA before studying mechanical and petroleum engineering.

Ruthie began her career as a well intervention engineer for BP, working on production rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. She later transitioned to the company’s renewable energy business.

Energy is a global industry, and Ruthie has combined her passion for it with travel, visiting 89 countries and working in 16. It’s given her a global perspective on energy and sustainability.

Those interests prompted her to decide to create a newsletter, the “Energy Transition Digest.” The first edition will come out in two weeks and cover news, in-depth interviews with industry leaders, policies and initiatives shaping the industry. (Link in comments.)

She’s reachable via LinkedIn or DM me if you want a warm introduction.
